Introduction
Mayflower Gulch, a few miles west of Copper Mountain in Summit County, Colorado, offers unobstructed views of the majestic peaks of the Tenmile and Sawatch ranges, including the maginficent caldera crowned by Mount Holy Cross, one of Colorado's greatest Fourteeners. Nine of us from the Gay and Lesbian section of the Sierra Club headed here for a cross-country ski outing on the last day of February. The snow was pristine, the sky sunny and blue, and the company excellent. After exploring this winter wonderland, we headed to the home of Brian Duchinsky and his partner Jim in Frisco for a little apres-ski.
