Introduction
My father is recovering from hip replacement surgery which he had July 15 - it gave me a reason to clear my schedule and head back to Jersey for a visit with the family. My brother Mike and Candy and their boys are in South Carolina so didn't get to see them - otherwise everybody was there not to mention some surprise visitors, like Cathy Hogan and her partner Jen, visiting from Australia, and cousin George Virchick and his wife Kathy, visiting from Mifflinburg, PA. My sister Ruth had a big party at her house, with music by Steve Indelicato's amazing band Maple Grass, which serenaded revellers into the evening. Members of Calvin Church and other friends were there, too. Meanwhile I got a chance to see my sister Sue Larmore and her husband Tom, and their boys, Joey and Tommy. And my Dad is at the Clark Rehab, enduring a tough recovery, but making lots of progress, and hopefully looking forward to getting home in a week or so. Aunt Anna was at home, serene as a boddhisatttva, smiling and watching the Gene Kelly film fest on TBS. A nice mellow reunion was had by all.
